Infrared Thermal Imaging
Infrared thermal imaging is becoming increasingly more popular throughout the building inspection industry. This technology allows us to see things the naked eye cannot. Anything from moisture intrusion, electrical issues and insulation voids can now be observed through the use of infrared thermal imaging. At Skyline Inspection Services we currently utilize the FLIR 420BX. This is not a simple cellphone app or phone attachment. This is a professional building diagnostic camera. We are a certified Infraspection Level II Thermographer so you can be sure that we are not only using the proper equipment, we are also properly trained. Thermography is not about simply pointing and shooting a camera. It takes a trained eye to decipher what is actually being seen on the imager.
The uses for this technology is nearly limitless. Under the right conditions, infrared thermal imaging can be used to inspect nearly anything. Some applications include:
-
Infrared Thermal Imaging scans of EIFS
-
Flat roof inspections
-
Electrical systems, motors and components inspections
-
Missing insulation, insulation voids, etc.
-
Plumbing leaks and clogged drains
-
Moisture intrusion investigations or leaking basements
-
HVAC
-
Possible mold locations
These are just a few of the applications that we provide. Please contact us and see how we can help!
